Harriet of the HMS Beagle: Long Lives the Tortoise!

Here is another article I wrote for the ezine Waffles at Noon. Harriet the Galapagos Tortoise died on 23 June 2006 at the approximate age of 175.  It is believe she was a specimen collected by none other than Charles Darwin himself in 1835.  Harriet is just one example of the amazing order of reptiles called chelonia, or what we commonly call tortoises and turtles.
