It appears Snopes.com took up this topic several months after I wrote this article. Using the Hayt article and one other source, Snopes manages to spin a positive revew of Locks of Love and pronounce rumors regarding the selling of donated hair and charging for wigs “Mostly False.” While Snopes is correct about a favorable rating for Locks of Love from the charity auditing site Charity Navigator, it totally ignores the detailed negative rating and report from Nonprofit Investor and other available information.
